For the 2016/17 NBA Playoffs, adidas basketball wanted to carry through their existing 'REP HARD' messaging that had been developed for the main seasonal campaign. The way that the Global Brand Design team interpreted that was to focus on chasing the gold Larry O'Brian Championship trophy. Due to having a small budget and short timeline, we set about hand crafting all of the imagery for the campaign and photographing the the results. All of the paint splatters, typography, graphics and images were created by hand by myself and our photographer. We created assets for all adidas players that were in the playoffs, but this is a selection of the three most important players for the brand: Damian Lillard, James Harden and Derrick Rose.
